It was an honor and pleasure to be selected as the photographer for the “Circle of Promise” organization at the 2009 Susan G. Komen Global Race for the Cure!   This was the first year that the Komen Race went “global.”  Many countries, cultures, religions, and ethnic groups were represented at this event.  It was truly amazing and profound to see this global support for such a demanding cause.  As you can probably imagine, this event was not without its celebrity influence as some of the attendants included:Vice President Joe Biden and wife Jill ,  News anchors Andrea Roane and Maggie Rodriguez, founder Nancy Brinker, actress Sarah Chalke, Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine of Serbia, and singer/Circle of Promise Ambassador Lalah Hathaway.

Although rain from the day before caused the ground to be muddy in most places, the sunshine was in everyone’s heart.  People paraded and walked around as if the ground was not a problem at all.  At the Circle of Promise booth, Kenna and Crystal remained full of light as well as they offered important information and gained membership support.  We even signed up to be Ambassadors:)!  The Circle of Promise effort is not easily overlooked and they epitomize a BOLD LIFESTYLE.
