As a term “bold” is identified as being courageous and daring.  These characteristics are normally symbolic of people we idolize as heroes and celebrity.  By definition “celebrity” is a person that commands a high degree of public attention or media following; they are people of renown fame.  At times, a bold person can simply be an ordinary person doing some extraordinary act.  Circumstances – it seems – can bring out the boldness in someone.  These circumstances are our lifestyle.  We all seek to lead extraordinary lives in many different ways; nonetheless, there are staple acts that are identified globally as “bold”.  Bold acts are acts we normally connect with our revered hereos and idolized celebrities. These acts vary from everyday interactions to sought out experiences.  In order to capture these moments as a testament of our lives, oftentimes we photograph our experiences, hang them on our walls and share them with others.  Many times we fill entire photo albums with these moments to remember forever.  These are times when and where we “looked like a supermodel”, “partied like a rockstar”, “played like an all star”, “stepped up to the challenge” and “gone where no man has gone before”.  These are times we when became our own, everyday celebrities.  Bold Lifestyle Photography is the visual arts concept of McArthur Newell, II.  The idea is to capture true life as seen through an appreciative and artistic perspective.  Where cinematic quality and real life meet – Bold Lifestyle seeks to highlight the everday celebrity in us all through creative photojournalism.

MCARTHUR NEWELL

Since grade school I demonstrated excellence in most art forms, mainly visual art.  I later went to North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, North Carolina and American University in Washington, DC to study both, literature and film.  Years after receiving my Masters degree, I decided to transition from an Adjunct Professor of Literature to a Multimedia Developer.  Not long after learning basic coding languages and web design, I began freelancing and soon received my first award for web development.  I later began working at a federal contracting company as a Multimedia Developer and soon progressed to become a Multimedia Team Lead of a major federal contract.  So that’s what I do and how I came to do it.  Still my passion and ability runs deeper, and I have decided to combine my skills, education, and experience into a culture.  BoldLifestyle is my creation and artistic platform of commercial marketing.
