			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I am a photographer, or at least that is the artistic medium I use, so I communicate visually.  As artists, we find inspiration from the world around us and oftentimes it is something that cannot be explained visually.  That is one of the reasons why I look to music for inspiration.</p>
<p>Musicians communicate musically through sound and sense.  To me it is a fascinating ability, talent.  During my coverage of the Ski Johnson Performance for the American Cancer Society, I was able to photograph his band planning the score for the evening just before the show.  It was like listening in to a top-secret, military strategy or the planning of a heist.  Although they were writing words, they were using musical notes and sounds orally to communicate the score.</p>
<p>This image below is a photo I shot &#8220;off-base&#8221; and instantly became a favorite.  The mood, color, focus, location &#8211; it tells a story.  Let me know what you think&#8230;</p>
